Richard Gold, son of Edith Gold and Melvin Gold, brother of Lora G. Reed, married Erika Taubner in 1956 after being introduced by his sister, Lora Gold Reed, to her good friend. Amazingly, she and her parents, like Lora’s future husband, were also Hungarian immigrants, via Cuba.
Erika and Dick had two children, Marilyn and Allen Eric, each of whom married and had families of their own. Marilyn married Joel Zaas and they had three children-Stuart, Daniel and Saree. Stuart is married to Leah Joffe Zaas and they have a daughter, London.
Allen married Denise Michele Hodge and they had one daughter, Jacqueline, known as Jazzy.
